Blueprints for Destroyer

In this city are a lot of differing kinds of cobalt factions, and it’s unknown how, exactly, that happened.

Dr. Cecily SĂżtz explains we need metal as a material, a large forge, something to put sparks of creation (or parts of) into the object we forge so they actually become organs, and blueprints of Destroyer, or a construct similar to them. She admits that while she likes to improve people, but this is a situation where someone is hurt and they need to be healed before she can think about upgrading them.

Dr. Sÿtz comments that she had tried to call Izoraxx and he didn’t pic up, and the rest of the party suggests that Faylen tries to get ahold of Axamonar. Faylen uses Oryeon Onyons’s device to call Axamonar and it’s clear that Axamonar is in the middle of a fight. He passes the call to Clement, who explains that some creature has woken up with all of the events going on and they’re not sure what hurts it. There’s a little more back and forth, and Clement promises to look for the blueprints for Destroyer or similar constructs once he’s safe.

Dr. Sÿtz admits she’s impressed that Axamonar answered, and she’s hopeful that we’ll hear back with information.

We all realize that Bosch is gone, and Tabby comments that this is normal and he’ll find his way back to us eventually, which Dr. Sÿtz thinks sounds exhausting.

Bosch (During the Phone Call)

Bosch enters the city during the conversation and he’s right at home in this city built for smaller people. Bosch walks into Legitimate Business & Bar, a kobold-mob run business, and they take him to meet the one and only Salaavethor, reading a newspaper and eating a plate of pasta. Bosch, pretends to be a mob member, asking for plans on a war machine, and then describes Destroyer.

Sal pulls out blueprints for Destroyer, and says that he will be calling in that favor later. Sal comments that he hopes Destroyer pulls through, and Bosch asks who said anything about Destroyer? Sal modifies his statement saying he hopes whatever war machine pulls through, wink wink nudge nudge.

Sal tells Bosch that there are a lot of factions that are vying for power due to power deep in the caves. He got involved because a lot of kobolds were lost in the shuffle, and so he keeps the balance of power by making sure nobody has too much power.

Fire Kobolds

He continues to say that there is a small group of kobolds that he likes, those that take power from the immortal of fire, Astrobolesia. Sal feels that she’s nice enough, but she sometimes gets too focused or involved. The kobolds themselves are good folks, which is why there’s not many of them, but they’ll likely help us if needed. Sal catches her scent on Bosch, surprised we’ve met her, and Bosch comments that we’ve met a funny one, and a loud one with guitar. Sal comments that he tries not to think about them too much.

Draconic District

*This is the district that Sal himself is leading.

Element Hart - Metal

Associated with metal, they follow a genie of metal.

Venomous

Connected to the viscount of vipers. Current leader is Gulf, but goes by Lord Mostest High. Full name: Lord Mostest High Gulf.

Sal does comment to pass along a hello to Faylen, and to let Faylen know that he’s working on getting them to stop hunting Faylen for sport, though it’s not working, so he may be hunted for sport a little longer.

On the way to Cobalt Springs

Dr. SĂżtz admits that Mary is good at healing. Mary comments that she has been doing it her entire life, and Dr. SĂżtz comments that so has she, but she ultimately went to school to graduate.

Dr. Sÿtz comments that all Mary can do is bring people to 100%, but Dr. Sÿtz pushes past that limitation and she finds it wrong that there are people called the Immortals and nobody else can do that. She essentially hates that people can decay and die, but Mary points out that that is the natural order of things, and Dr. Sÿtz says she just doesn’t care.

Dr. Sÿtz admits that she finds Mary competent and that’s why she learned Mary’s name, while the rest of the party is filled with idiots. There’s a small argument back and forth about her disrespect and judgement, but Tabby eventually interrupts and comments that we need to do this mission.

Bosch pops up after his adventure and we greet him. He comments that he has some plans, holding them up, and Faylen looks at them to discover that it’s the exact plans for specifically Destroyer. Faylen announces this and asks where Bosch found them, and Bosch reminds that he may or may not have made a deal with the mob for a favor, or it may have been a small man with a funny hat drinking some coffee. Faylen does comment that that’s not the worst person to owe a favor to.

Faylen surrenders the plans to Dr. Sÿtz as she reviews the plans. She’s impressed, commenting there’s not much room for improvement on these.

Cobalt Springs

The draconic district in the center that’s under the auspice of Sal is very normal looking - much like Jewel - but on a smaller scale.

The Hunt for Metal

We enter the elemental district and it’s like stepping into a clock, with gears all around. We step inside and know that we’re being followed. Faylen looks around for The Agent, not seeing her, but we all notice four venomous kobolds trying to look nonchalant, and then notice us staring directly at them. Mary asks if they need something, and they just want to know how we’re finding the beautiful city, and we are apparently friends with the one they call Sal?

Mary comments that we’ve met. The kobold comments that we’ve met The Great Deceiver, and lived, so they assume we are trouble. Mary explains that we are not trouble, we actually try to help, and we’re here to gather metal to help a patient.

The kobolds continue to give us a hard time, and Dr. SĂżtz gets annoyed and throws a scalpel at them. Faylen tries to stop her, but is too late and combat begins.

We manage to beat the kobolds pretty easily, and Mary stabilizes and gets them back on their feet, and there’s a small discussion. Faylen asks what issue Lord Mostest High Gulf with Sal, and the kobold says that Sal’s trying to influence everyone, even trying to unionize, and Lord Mostest High Gulf doesn’t like being undermined, he wants devotion from everyone.

Faylen tries to convince the kobolds to not go back to Lord Mostest High, and to find another place to make friends. The kobold doesn’t understand the idea of being an individual and Faylen and Mary try to explain what that means, but he just doesn’t get it as he turns around and leaves with his friends.

A metallic-skinned kobold shows up and asks if we are going to be a problem. We reply no, we will play nice as long as people play nice with us.

This place exists because there’s an entrance to a pocket dimension nearby, the entrance to a powerful, magical tree that envelopes the entire pocket dimension. It’s called an Oracle Oak. If we are looking for important like sparks of creation, we would have to enter that pocket dimension. The problem is that we need an invitation from three of the leaders of the districts.

The leader of the Elemental Hart gives us her invitation to the Oracle Oak. We need to either get very cozy with the fiery guys, or the draconic - she comments that Sal is quite strange - and we comment that we do know Sal.

The leader of the metal kobolds comments that the metal will be delivered directly to our medical bay.
