Session Date: 12/15/2024
Prior to the Events
Kestrel St. Clair naturally has a room for planning heists. Rohan, Iskra, Inky, and Vitalii are planning the best way to set things up to steal Lord Duke Regington’s bank. Yes, the same Duke Regington that is having the birthday party that Dia and Arythas will be attending.
Dia and Arythas do a shopping trip to get an outfit and Dia starts to worry about Arythas being so large and easy to pick out of a crowd, and he tells her not to concern herself with it. She continues to worry, and he explains that she has enough to be worried about, and he will take care of making sure he’s not obvious. He reassures her that he can and will take care of it, no problem at all.
The Heist
The group meets up with the priest they were hired by. He explains that he will not be able to help if there is any sort of a fight as he will be concentrating on the magic to move the bank. Everyone understands and they enter the sewer to begin their trek to the bank.
Ahead are three creatures: some athamaru - fishfolk that do not normally live here, someone that looks like they may be a grey-skinned gnome, and a drake? The athamaru and gnome are wearing uniforms of the bank, and the drake has a collar with the bank logo on it - these are a security detail of the bank.
The athamaru warns for the group to turn away, while the spriggan basically is itching for a fight. Iskra opens with a fireball and combat begins.

The take care of the guards and the priest explains that he will not be taking people with the bank. He uses magic to push everyone out of the building, and then a miniature version of the bank falls into his hand. There’s the sound of sirens above as they turn and run, the boss at a nice little jog. As they make it outside, Vitalii is talking to a guard who is clearly zoning out. The guard leaves and Vitalii asks what kept them all, and Rohan says they just need to get out of there. Vitalii has the engines warm and they get in the vehicle and leave.
The Birthday Party
Dia is finished getting ready and goes to check in Arythas to find a mature arctic elven man step out in the outfit that she bought for Arythas. She’s confused and has a deer in headlights moment as she doesn’t recognize him.
We are introduced tot he party as Sylvaine Aroya and her husband, Theoden.
We look in and Arythas notices Ilxavar, who locks eyes with Arythas. It’s clear that Ilxavar has an idea of who he is, but the form change is a little jarring. Arythas acknowledges him with a small nod and expression of familiarity, thought hey can’t really talk to each other. Directly next to Dia as we enter is Peregrine, her father, who is giving the appearance of a charming but regal lord at this party. She death grips Arythas’ arm as they enter.
The two of them go to maneuver away from Peregrine. He notices and looks at us as we turn and walk away. We go to I
Embassy - Ilxavar is a guest at the embassy right now. Gerada is the ambassador and is technically the ruling body, but if he gives Ilxavar any trouble then Ilxavar could challenge him to a duel. Arythas expresses that if the opportunity arises, then he will do his best to make this happen for him.
While Arythas is speaking to Ilxavar, Peregrine approaches Dia to speak with her. He tries to kiss her hand and she does not allow him. Peregrine asks who she is, and Dia introduces herself as Lady Sylvaine Aroya. Peregrine notices the Raven Queen pin that Dia has, and expresses he’s a humble servant of Pelor. Dia seems to be rather disinterested as she does not respond, and a nearby woman tells Peregrine to leave her alone. Peregrine turns to the woman and asks her not to call him Perry, and she says that’s what makes it fun.
The woman grabs Dia’s hand and pulls her away from Peregrine. Peregrine asks if she is going to save any souls tonight, and the woman replies she will save one. She pulls Dia away and says that Peregrine is a bad man, then introduces herself as Adelaide Corvo. Adelaide explains that she only wished to save Dia from Peregrine. Adelaide explains that she and Peregrine are not friends, but are in the same circles. Dia comments that Peregrine is a charlatan, and asks what Adelaide is - she replies she’s a scoundrel.
Dia asks what makes Adelaide a scoundrel. Adelaide explains she runs the Full Heart Inn and (Dia begins to broadcast to the entire group) her motivation is she was never able to be a mother or have children of her own and she wishes to treat all of their customers like one of her own. Dia comments that this is a terrible shame, and Adelaide says she would have been such a great mother.
It’s at this point that Arythas arrives with champagne for himself and Dia, and Adelaide asks who Arythas is. Dia introduces him as her husband, Theoden, and Arythas bows and kisses Adelaide’s hand. Adelaide clearly isn’t discouraged in her flirting when Arythas is introduced as her husband. There’s some small talk, and Adelaide does invite Dia and Arythas to her place, and gives a flowery card with an address and - essentially - visiting hours.
Once Adelaide excuses herself, Dia pulls Arythas to the dance floor. Dia apologizes to the group and then asks if Rohan is okay. He says no, not really, and Dia explains that there are outfits for everyone should they wish to come to the party. Rohan says he’s good, but the others can definitely go.
Dia asks where everyone is and there’s some back and forth where it’s clear the chaos squad are lying and have done Something™ but Dia decides it’s better to not know.
Arythas asks if it’s common for Peregrine to travel alone, and Dia confirms. She explains Prudence generally is bothered because she thinks she’s better at business, but Peregrine is particular about when he includes her. Peregrine and his wife pretend to play the happy family for appearances but it is not important that they are actually together. Arythas asks if it is not important for them to show a united front together in places like this, and Dia explains that this type of event is not important for that, and that appearance is far more important to the actual followers of The Family of Light.
There is a point that Adeladie and Peregrine seem to leave the party at the same time.
There is the option for Arythas and Dia to follow them.
