Omen, a little before
As Omen was being tortured and getting surgery, he ended up falling unconscious at some point. He was completely out of it and unaware of what was going on. He does eventually wake up, but there are some serious changes around him: the room is significantly more high tech. He’s on a bed with a ton of wires connected to him, and he can only assume a BD wreath is on his head. He looks around and this place is incredibly polished: tidy, sleek, very high tech - more so than anything he’s ever seen. He can’t move as he is buckled down and restrained.
A light starts to flash on a monitor nearby and a few minutes pass, then a door opens up. A tall man that’s rough in appearance with blue and pink hair walks in and notices that Omen is awake. When Omen freezes and doesn’t seem to be doing anything, the strange man approaches the monitor that’s blinking and starts typing away. Omen tries to sneak a hand out of the restraints but the man notices and does something so that Omen can no longer move. The man approaches and tightens the restraint, then finishes whatever he was doing and Omen slips back into oblivion.
Omen wakes back up in the hellscape that turned him into a cyberpsycho. He sees everyone as a threat and starts to make his way through the facility, killing anyone he comes across.
Linking Mysterious Man here since the name is going to change in the future.
The Party
Map:
We start on the southern route and make our way up to the rubble. The branch on the right is closed with radiation symbols all over the place. We take the path to the left, then go down south to the left into the area with an access point. Garf jacks in so that she can begin her netrun to try to upload the virus that Emerick gave her.
Garf gains access to most of the cameras and sees Omen just slaughtering people that he runs into. She then gets the camera to the hangar, then sees Mr. Steele step out of a door, talking to a staff member. He steps back into the room and Garf informs the rest of us about these developments.
The file at the bottom of the NET architecture is a document that is mid-level and goes over the operating procedures for them. Basically the handbook, and a lot of the policies and purposes, protocols, etc. Garf copies this document, then begins to upload the virus. Garf notices that the NET architecture immediately beings to corrode away and fall apart. She’d seen these spots of corrosion - they’re artificial spyderbots that are swarming from the virus. They pour into the NETspace around her. It’s taking complete control of the NET architecture here - VERY quickly, immediately.
She zips her way back to the top after a cloak, and then jacks out. Emerick gets a text message immediately after Garf jacks out — it’s from Ida Mueller. It says “I’m glad I can trust you to finish the jobs I give you.” He’s transferred an amount of money that makes him choke for a moment, and then it’s time to get moving.
Omen
He was in the middle of the map. Once the party is done with the NET architecture, Omen’s in the other room tearing people apart. The entire party hears this — Emerick had heard it up before then, but now we all do. We hear a metallic howl.
Combat Begins
Garf tells Emerick to lead the group to the AV hangar and just run to it - the Mercury Rider member with us can pilot us out. She gives Emerick her jacket and tells him to hold onto it for her so that it’s safe, telling him to get the rest of the group out safe and to make sure they communicate better in the future. He agrees and Garf kicks in the door and grapples Omen.
Omen attempts to break the grapple multiple times but is unsuccessful. He drops an EMP grenade in a desperate attempt to shut down any of Garf’s cyberware that’s helping her, but only results in blinding her as her cybereyes shut down - and, well, she doesn’t need eyes to hold on.
The rest of the party rushes past the grapple and head toward the van so they can drive to the hangar.
