Session Start
We make it to the other side of the portal and into the Netherworld. We come out in a dark forest and we hope that we are close to where Shadowbane is being kept. As we all finally emerge from the portal, someone yells “get them!” There is a man in armor and Nymnar understands that this a graveknight and two zombies - Nymnar notices that there’s something weird about the zombies but he doesn’t know what it is quite yet.
Achille comes through the portal and notices that Nymnar and the graveknight are arguing in a language that he doesn’t understand. Achille takes a moment to assess the situation and then decides to just motion for Nymnar to follow him and walk off. Nymnar plays it off as just writing this knight off and starts to follow Achille.
Silver comes through the portal next and watches the exchange. She glances to Achille to see what’s going on and he doesn’t give a real answer. She turns around to the knight and starts speaking to him in Shadowtongue, to the surprise of literally everyone. Zimri then comes in and starts pretending they are prisoners while Achille starts questioning Silver as to why she knows Shadowtongue.
Somewhere in the chaos, Damaris comes though the portal and collapses, crying.
The zombies with the knight are sulfur zombies. They can deal fire damage, they can blind us, and they explode on death.
Combat begins.

We manage to down these guys. Nymnar immediately goes up and searches his body for correspondence and other helpful items. He finds a map of the area - Nymnar’s never personally here, but the capital is close. He was a failure of a graveknight so he was stationed on patrol. There are many notes about the project being close to completion and nobody can get out of the plane. It’s clear based on the notes that in a few days nothing will matter as things are complete. Nymnar reads through these notes and gives the abbreviated version to the entire party.
