The Lava Plot
The Lava Control Outpost
We head out of the city following pipes in an attempt to find where the lava is being controlled. We eventually come upon an outpost with machinery that is used for pumping the lava. There’s an outpost not too far off that is manned by some munsahir. Bosch reaches out to touch one of the large pipes and it is like touching a hot stove: it does burn him. It is clear that what we see here is a very small part of a much larger machine. The outpost is clearly pretty short-staffed: there’s only three guys (out of a normal 40) here, and they’re trying to man multiple stations by themselves.
We head on up and talk about how we’re here to do an inspection. They make an attempt to argue with us and Bosch produces a very official message:
He manages to intimidate his way through by explaining that we are allowed to shut anything down indiscriminately until we deem something efficient, and we are allowed to fire up to two people. The munsahir are successfully intimidated and Bosch instructs Oryeon Onyons to determine which people to fire.
Bosch looks over the buttons and levers and manages to work out which ones to do to stop the machinery. Orvel Onyons helps him with the levers, and then Faylen notices some sigils in pyrrhic that was started. Faylen manages to work the pyrrhic runes with his own magic to have the machinery deep down be crushed so that they will not be able to actually start the machinery back up.
We go ahead and take our leave and head back toward the city. Bosch would like to go back to the city and round people up to tell them that Breakwater Company destroyed the lava infrastructure, but Oryeon would like to simply move on and Mary and Tabby both explain that we have a duty to help the people here. There’s a little back and forth and Oryeon decides he really likes the idea of taking credit.
The Salamanders
As we make it a bridge, we are stopped by some salamanders, which are not pleased that we (the group) ruined their plan. They were the ones that set up the pyrrhic rune circle and their plan was to flood this level with lava so that the salamanders could thrive.

We manage to dispatch of the salamanders and the spriggan comes up because of the commotion. We explain to him what we’ve done and what’s happened, and the spriggan explains we’ve done them a great favor and they will spread word of what we’ve done far and wide.
