Session Start
After a short camping and catching Arrai up, he and the rest of the Crimson Legion approach and Arrai explains again that we will be the forward team as the Legion cannot be hidden as they approach. Misha has the essentially walkie-talkie and then, after we rest, we head out. it will be a day of marching to get to the fortress.
We decide to try to move more stealthily than to move quickly as we go up the mountain. It’s snowy and cold as we move through and the place we are looking for is more of an issue of when we find it rather than if we find it.
We move through the snow and Chamomile hears something moving through the snow that seems to be a bipedal of some kind. Chamomile stiffens and points toward it with her body language. Everyone looks toward where she’s pointing and there is a yeti that is trying to be sneaky and Dia approaches to speak to him, apologizing for trespassing on his home and asking if there’s another route we should go. Dia notices that he’s speaking very slowly and then Arythas pulls out his weapon and comments that we are being surrounded. Combat begins when one of the enemies comments that it’s time to do what they were paid to do.

- Frost Giant
- Two Kordite Warpiests
- Two Kordite Doomsayers
We manage to quell the threat, with one enemy not quite dying. We ask him why they were hired to hunt us down. We intimidate him into telling us by promising to heal him if he doesn’t and he doesn’t tell us who hired him. He explains Hercan was the one that hired him and Rohan, Dia, and Arythas are all surprised by this while Misha, Chamomile, and Rdest don’t know that name. The original party all remember that name from the north and he was the ghost person who was working alongside the Mad Mage and is involved in all of this death god business. Arythas asks where Hercan is right now, and he goes to answer but ghostly fingers push through his eyes and then pop the top of his skull off and there’s a lot of blood.
Dia begins a ritual to essentially do last rites to encourage the spirits to either Kord or the Raven Queen, and she does this for all the spirits around here.
