Kade Sredex sends out a text message to the group to remind us all to show up at the venue for the concert at 4 or 5pm and the venue will open at 7pm for the show. The venue is a small underground dive bar type - not a club - and all that he says is to look out for the Bluejay. He sends us a pin at an intersection that’s over in the Central Glen.

Net

Net crafts an extended mag for his gun.

Leviathan & Saint

Saint explains what he knows about the current situation and casts the magic spell exposition on Leviathan.

Sulfur

Sulfur went off to hire an assistant.

Emerick

Emerick gets up and takes it easy, mostly hanging out with the band in the morning and early afternoon. He gets his things packed up to head over to the venue when the time is right. Kade does suggest that he take some behind the scenes footage and stuff for promo reels and the like.

The Band

The band spends most of the day practicing for the show later in the evening.

It’s worth noting that Alice is not here - she went and spent time with Phoenix last night and has not made it back home.

Powder and Crack Pipe stand in the kitchen discussing what engine to put into the car that they’ve been working on. Emerick does message Net to comment on it and Net instructs him to record it. Emerick records it and then sends it over to Net. They’re discussing both the type of engine (v6, v8, v12, etc) as well as specific cylinders. Net suggests the v12 and comments that the v6 is criminal. His ultimate response is a good v8 or a specific v12 if they can afford it (a Thorton).

Seo comes out and says that new management is a little too slow for someone’s intake. They need someone to make a drug run. There’s an awkward moment and Seo ultimately looks at Emerick and asks if we have a medtech (yes) and if he has detox or can get some. Emerick says yeah, surely, and then he messages Saint and asks him over.

Saint and Leviathan at the Warehouse

Saint and Leviathan show up at the warehouse and find Ogre sitting on the porch with a bottle of liquor drinking his sorrows away. Leviathan looks him over and sizes him up, saying “who’s that bitch”. Saint immediately stops and asks where the fuck Leviathan learned that and Saint notices the way that Ogre is loading his very heavy pistol. A shot rings out and a bullet whizzes past Leviathan. Saint immediately ducks out of this and heads inside.

Ogre takes a swig of the liquor and spits it on Leviathan’s face and then introduces himself as Ogre then goes back inside. Leviathan drops a smoke bomb and then scurries around to the back of the warehouse. He ultimately comes in and finds us in the kitchen. There’s an awkward conversation where Powder realizes that he’s either stupid or a complete asshole, then leaves. Leviathan leaves to explore and ultimately starts going through the rooms to try to see who has what.

Leviathan does eventually run into Kade, who asks who he is. Leviathan gives the name Levi, and Kade explains that Leviathan can live here and can be employed so that he has a safe place to live, free food, money to buy things with. Leviathan asks if he knew Juice and Kade says he knew of Juice, yes. Leviathan asks what Kade can tell him, and Kade says he can only speak of company secrets with company employees, then invites Leviathan to the office to make arrangements.

Kade ultimately decides to pay him 10k a month and then negotiates a job for him. They ultimately leave and go back downstairs, finding that Emerick, Saint, and Ri, who is going through withdrawals, have been arguing about taking the detox, and Ogre is bitching about the new guy and is drunk as hell. Charley is trying to keep things under control.

Alice shows up and her good mood rapidly declines and she leaves to go to the venue.

Seo asks Ri to stop taking the cocaine and to start a new leaf now that we are free from Juice. Ri goes off about how we are trying to control him like Juice did, except at least Juice gave him the drugs. Ogre says that we’ve lived with Ri doing drugs so we should just fucking do that, and Charley says we aren’t going to treat him like cattle.

Leviathan eventually chimes in to say that we should just get him the drugs and this results in a confrontation between him and Charley. Shots are fired before Seo steps in and ends this. Charley tells Leviathan off, Ri tells Seo off, then Charley tells everyone else off.

At this point, Sulfur shows up and Emerick grabs a couple beers and pulls them out and the two go to the porch to start talking. Saint joins them and they start explaining what happened to Sulfur and vent about Leviathan.

Phoenix sits down to speak to Leviathan and suggests that he needs to talk nicer to people and she kind of gives him some etiquette classes.

Net shows up and there’s a broken conversation about who Leviathan is and where he came from and Net ultimately decides to go in and talk to him himself. Saint, Emerick, and Sulfur follows in so that they can watch. Emerick explains to Sulfur that he doesn’t think Net will be the problem in this conversation, and then Saint and Sulfur make a bet if Net gets pissed off.

The conversation begins and Net gives the “alibi” that Levi is from Little Europe. Levi is a netrunner and he isn’t sure how good he is with a gun. We realize he’s around 45 years old even though he looks nothing like it.

There’s a long conversation and Sulfur eventually convinces to take Leviathan with him, and Phoenix goes along.

Leviathan goes away with Phoenix somewhere private (though Emerick can hear it). Leviathan comments that Phoenix knows certain myths about netrunners, and she says sure, she dabbles. Leviathan asks if she knows about soulkiller and she comments that yes, who hasn’t, and she explains that edgerunners always find themselves face to face with the corporations, and the law, the government, gangs, other edgerunners, and they all learn these kinds of secrets. Leviathan admits that he’s looking for soulkiller, to go over. Phoenix explains how wild that is and ultimately says that this is his own deathwish if he prefers, but we all have our crazy jobs we go on. Leviathan is looking for a copy of soulkiller that is in tact that he can modify or something that he can remake it. Phoenix comments that this is a rather tall order.

Kade Shows Up

On the way out, Levaithan apologizes to Ogre (after being coached by Phoenix) for calling him a bitch, and Ogre apologizes to Leviathan for shooting first rather than talking. Leviathan admits he’s still learning and Charley admits that there’s a lot of growing that needs to be done.

Before they make it out, Kade comes down and announces that Leviathan is on the payroll. He reminds us of the show and asks where everyone is, and he gets a tl;dr of what happened, and then Charley comes down to say that he heard and doesn’t need a message. Kade says he’ll text the others and let them know, then turns to Seo and asks what about his brother. Seo isn’t sure, and Net chimes up and says that he can play drums - it can’t be too hard. Net does a solid enough job to be up for consideration. Kade decides that Net will be the drummer for a (1) night.

Kade ultimately says that Net needs to be careful not to bite off more than he can chew or else this will have to be a more formal arrangement. Net offers to go and speak to Ri instead of Seo or anyone else and he says that he’s dealt with drug addicts his entire life and he is doing this out of the kindness of his heart because he likes these guys and they’re his friends. Kade ultimately says that nobody does anything for free, and Net says he’s right: he’s doing it for a beer. Kade says favors only go so far and he does want to have established relationships that are more than just favors - Net says that Kade can pay him sometime. Kade agrees and comments that they should establish some sort of relationship, but it doesn’t need to be a full employee relationship - it could be something a little less formal and more like what Leviathan has. Net decides to meet him halfway and says when this is all over, maybe they can make a deal of some sort. They shake and Net says he’ll go let Ri know what’s up.

Kade tells us to go and get ready.

Net says he will go to speak to Ri. Seo says he wants to go but Ri probably doesn’t want to see him. Net reassures him and then heads out. Seo grabs his guitar and heads up to his room.
